Mackenzie Jones

Mackenzie is a multidisciplinary music creative and music educator based in Norwalk, CA. She holds a BM in oboe performance and an MM in composition. In the summer of 2022, she signed as a marquee artist with The Acrylic Label. In her upcoming EP Color Study, she ventures further into her signature sound which encompasses sonic influences of nu-jazz, LoFi Hip-Hop, downtempo, and experimental electronic.
Outside of her personal projects, Mackenzie is the guitarist for the art rock group EMÆL, bassist for indie singer-songwriter Krost and audio engineer for Synesthesia Sinfonietta
Mackenzie is an enthusiastic and passionate educator. Her curriculum focuses on American musical genres born out of cultural movements and technologic innovations of the 20th century. Her goal is to give her students the autonomy to perform and create music that they love.
