Maddy is a composer, pianist, songwriter, and music producer. She currently serves as the program coordinator with YMF.
She is originally from Aspen, CO, which is where she developed her passion for and interest in music due to her participation in local youth-based music education. Her experiences with the Aspen Music Festival and School inspired her to continue studying music and she pursued her undergraduate studies in music composition at Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Currently, she holds a bachelor’s in organizational leadership and marketing from Arizona State University and is continuing her pursuit of learning and professional development as part of the arts management graduate program at Claremont Graduate University.
Before working at YMF, Maddy’s work experience has involved progressive roles in operational management, administration, and team leadership, all highly focused on customer service and community engagement. Her work has exposed her to the vast diversity of the communities and cultures in Los Angeles which has inspired her to use her background, experience, and passion for music to more deeply connect to those she serves and support arts education in Los Angeles.
Understanding and valuing the importance of arts education, Maddy is grateful to be working as the program coordinator with YMF, an organization that aligns with her values and priorities for equity in music education.
