Producer on Songbird, the first film to shoot in Los Angeles during the Covid-19 lockdown as well as Executive Producer on Umma for Sony Pictures and Sam Raimi, Nightbooks for Netflix. Her upcoming projects include Aviary, Plus Minus and Trigger Warning. Jeanette is the Co-creator, along with YMF Media Advisory Council member Marcei Brown, of the popular industry podcast The Catch A Break Podcast – the insiders guide to breaking into and navigating their career. Jeanette is also the Co-founder of Crewvie.com. Crewvie is the leading global database-driven platform of verified entertainment professionals.
Formerly the head of physical production at Blumhouse Productions, Volturno joined the multimedia company known for pioneering a new model of studio filmmaking: producing high-quality micro-budget films, in 2012, and has worked on over 70 feature films during her tenure at the company, including but not limited to Get Out, which was nominated for four Academy Awards® in 2018—including Best Picture—and won the Oscar® for Best Original Screenplay; Halloween, which posted the second-highest opening ($76 million) for a horror movie in 2018 after IT; Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman, which was nominated for six Academy Awards® in 2019—including Best Picture—and won the Oscar® for Best Adapted Screenplay; the company’s successful Purge franchise; and Whiplash, which was nominated for five Academy Awards® and won three: Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role (J.K. Simmons), Best Achievement in Film Editing and Best Achievement in Sound Mixing.
Jeanette studied at UCLA in the World Arts and Cultures department, which provided the perfect intersection for her love of travel and different cultures.
