Chuck Reed

Chuck Reed has been on the road and in the studio since 1980. He spent 27 years at Interscope Geffen A&M Records as VP of
Studio Operations, A&R Director and In-House Engineer/Producer. Reed started off as a guitar technician and sound engineer in
L.A.’s punk/rockabilly scene. He graduated from Pinnacle College/Sound Master Recording School in 1984 with certifications in
recording engineering, live sound reinforcement and studio maintenance. Reed’s touring experience includes gigs as live sound
engineer and tour/production manager for artists on worldwide tours in clubs, theatres, arenas and stadiums.

Reed has worked with a vast array of artists including Imagine Dragons, Billie Eilish, Guns N’ Roses, U2, 2Pac, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Marky Mark, Sting, No Doubt and many more. Reed also oversaw the rehabilitation of the iconic Muscle Shoals Sound studio, which was made possible through a philanthropic grant from Beats By Dre. Reed continues as an audio consultant for Iovine. Reed has also produced and/or engineered numerous gold and platinum records including No Doubt, Sting, Motorhead, 50 Cent, Sheryl Crow, Guns N, Roses, Blue October, All-American Rejects, Something Corporate, Jack’s Mannequin, Snow Patrol and many more. Reed was also a producer on American Idol seasons 10,11, & 12.

Since adding Podcast production to Sancola Sound’s repertoire, Reed has produced podcasts exceeding 100 million downloads. In 2020, He won a Webby Award as Executive Producer for “Happier with Gretchen Rubin”.
