Daniel Ovalle

ElAC College Corps Fellow

Daniel joins the Young Musicians Foundation as a representative of the ELAC College Corps. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Daniel is driven by a civic responsibility to be a good samaritan to those around him. Daniel has worked with several animal welfare societies to provide care and housing for stray cats. Daniel has also volunteered at food banks, as well as cleaning litter around the city, particularly at Mt. Wilson Observatory. He has spent many hours overlooking the city from there, and from there realized he needs to give back to the place and people that have given him so much.

Daniel currently studies Communications at ELAC, and he hopes to use both his experience with YMF and education to become an advocate for his community. Daniel believes that every person has a world within them, and that we should work together to nurture creativity within everyone one of us. Daniel is passionate about finding the best in those around him.

Daniel believes in the missions of both YMF and the ELAC College Corps; facing inequity in our systems and to create a community where everyone is welcomed with humanity and compassion.
