Jessica Coreas is a writer, musician, and community organizer, and currently serves as YMF’s Community Relations Coordinator

Jessica’s professional interests lie at the intersection of the arts and community activism, and has spent the last decade curating community events, artwalks, and local music concerts within the San Gabriel Valley (SGV). She is a proud member of Arts for LA and an ACTIVATE Protege & Emerging Arts Leaders alumni. Jessica is also a member of Juntos Podemos / Together We Can , a collective of multi-generational educators, community organizers and activists based in the SGV. In 2020, she was published alongside colleagues in the Journal of Latinos and Education, for her piece, California Voters Right’s Act (CVRA), and the Struggle for School Transformation within a Southern California School District. Jessica also was a contributor to the book Centering Youth, Family, and Community in School Leadership: Case Studies for Educational Equity and Justice, which published in 2022.

Jessica holds a B.A. in English with a minor in film and media studies from UC Irvine, and is excited to share YMF’s mission in providing music education to underserved communities within Los Angeles.
