YMF is excited to announce our new partnership with the Hollywood Community Housing Corporation in the creation of a unique and innovative service model. To start, we will be moving YMF headquarters into the ground floor of their newest affordable housing project, the Florence Mills Apartments. HCHC will subsidize the costs of this 5,000 square foot space, where we will serve the residents of both the Florence Mills and Paul Williams apartments with tuition-free music instruction. We will offer classes in over 15 instruments, composition and songwriting, a music technology lab, and a groundbreaking workshop/concert series curated by YMF’s Senior Artistic Advisor Vijay Gupta. We are beyond thrilled for what’s to come! #YMFHearAndNow

HCHC has developed 29 properties, creating over 951 units of safe, attractive and centrally located affordable housing. HCHC was among the first affordable housing developers to recognize the importance of combining supportive services with affordable housing; supportive services such as music.

By June 1st, we will move our headquarters into the ground floor of their newest affordable housing project, the Florence Mills Apartments. HCHC will subsidize the costs of this 5,000 square foot space from which we will serve the residents – who include veterans, families, and folks who were previously unhoused – of both the Florence Mills and Paul Williams apartments with tuition-free music instruction in over 15 instruments, composition and songwriting, and a music technology lab.  Of course we will continue serving our current schools and sites as well.
