MUSE/IQUE On the Road: The Sun Rises in Harlem

MUSE/IQUE‘s mission is to make the arts accessible through live music events. After a major performance on their main stage, they take an abridged version of the show on the road to community partners. These tours are led by one of their teaching artists, who facilitates a conversation with featured artists from the performance, and on Wednesday, June 17, from 4pm-5pm. MUSE/IQUE On the Road will be making a stop at the YMF Center for Music and Creative Technologies.

Immerse yourself in the music that was the soundtrack to the Harlem Renaissance! From Duke Ellington, to Cab Calloway, to Bessie Smith, MUSE/IQUE examines the evolution of jazz music and how Black artists reflected evolving modern life through a flourishing of art.
