Mustafa Jabril

Community Liaison Specialist

Mustafa is a passionate advocate for youth development and empowering families. His transformational journey began at Homeboy Industries as a trainee in their workforce development program. He quickly rose through positions of increasing responsibility from Navigator, to Case Manager, culminating as one of the two lead GRYD (Gang Reduction and Youth Development) specialists working as a re-entry family Case Manager, Gang Intervention and Prevention Specialist.  He worked side-by-side with the LA’s Department of Probation developing programs for youth and family empowerment in an intensive effort to reduce the influence of street gangs.  

Mustafa is the founder of  “Seeds for Youth Development,” an organization dedicated to working with youth reentering the community after incarceration. Mustafa also works with PATH, placing the homeless population into shelters and permanent housing. He facilitates domestic violence intervention programs for the “Stop the Violence and Increase the Peace Foundation.” 

An in-demand speaker, Mustafa was a featured presenter at the annual Homeboy Global conference, lectured at universities such as Charles Drew University and USC Dornsife, USC Annenberg School. He conducts training for law enforcement professionals including judges, FBI Agents, Sheriff’s and police  department, and probation officers. Mustafa will be instrumental in YMF’s community engagement, program development, and recruiting initiatives in the Historic South Central and surrounding communities.
