Hope Kikuchi

Hope Kikuchi has been an active music education, both in public schools and as a private teacher for the last 36 years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from California State University, Los Angeles, with an emphasis in instrumental music education. Hope is currently the Music Director at the Boys and Girls Club of Pasadena and Teaching Artist at John Muir Elementary School in Glendale. Some of her previous teaching experiences include designing and implementing a standards-based music curriculum for Fourth Street Elementary School (Los Angeles Unified School District) and Benjamin Franklin Elementary School (Glendale Unified School District), coaching woodwind ensembles at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, and appearing as a guest woodwind clinician at various schools in the Southern California area.

In addition to teaching, Ms. Kikuchi enjoys performing as a solo flutist, as well as in concert bands, orchestras, chamber ensembles, jazz bands, and pit orchestras.
