The Instrument Loan Program loans instruments
to schools that currently do not have an instrumental music program.
YMF's mentors provide classroom and after-school instruction
to the children receiving the instruments. To date, the program
has loaned more than 400 instruments to eleven elementary schools.
An annual Holiday Instrument Drive collects used instrumentalists
that YMF can refurbish.

Calling all music lovers! Do you have an instrument that
is no longer being used? A violin? A clarinet? A flute? If so, you can
keep music education alive in our schools by donating it to Young Musicians
Foundation. Young Musicians Foundation provides instruments and music
instruction to underfunded music programs in elementary schools across Los Angeles County.
In many schools, music classes do not exist without this type of charitable
funding. Each instrument means a world of music for a child. Please donate
your instrument today!
To donate an instrument and help keep music in our schools,
please print out this form and fill in the required information. Then,
simply mail or drop off this form and your instrument to the address
listed below. YMF will have the instrument repaired if needed, have the
instrument appraised, and provide the donor with a tax-deduction letter.
YMF accepts the following instruments: piano/keyboard,
violin, viola, cello, string bass, flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, oboe, bassoon, French horn,
trumpet, and trombone. To donate any instruments not listed above, we recommend contacting Mr. Holland's Opus
Foundation.
